I need some ideas on how to tell my family that they can’t come to the wedding cause of the cut of people together at a time, iv had to go from 110 to 50.

If you've already sent the guests a Save The Date or invitation, this website has a pretty good template for a letter/email you can send to guests that you have to uninvite due to COVID restrictions: https://theeverylastdetail.com/coronavirus-wedding-postponement-email-templates-to-send-to-guests/

Most people seem to be pretty understanding of having to limit gatherings due to COVID.

Great idea, Molly, and worded perfectly. We are getting ready to send out invites for our mid October wedding, and unfortunately had to cut from 230 guests down to 100. It’s been stressful and hurts having to cut people and the last thing we ever wanted to do. Thanks for the template idea!
