I’m so over all the wedding guest list pressure. My sister keeps suggesting people I’m not even close to anymore — like “you need more younger people there” — and it’s just… no??
Our list is literally me and [fiancé]. We capped it at 120, and I already know exactly who I’m inviting. I’m even swapping coworkers for people I actually care about.
And yet everyone acts like I’m being unreasonable for not inviting people just because my family knows them or thinks they “should” be there.
Like… this is our wedding, our day. I get to decide who’s at the table without defending every choice to everyone else. I just want people to understand that.
