Guest List Regret Support

Hi all,

I got engaged in 2016, and I am getting married in a few months. I am such a planner, we made the guest list early on in this process and sent out invites early because we are renting out an “inn” technically a destination wedding because it’s 3 hours out of town in a remote area, but anyway our coordinator needs names for who is staying early so we can figure out who stays where. Anyway, if we were to make the guest list again now...it would look different. I know I can’t make any changes at this point, it’s too late, but any advice on how to make myself feel better about this?! I guess I’m just looking for support. My enthusiasm got the best of me here.

I don't know what to say expect I am sorry - guests lists are hard. I was leaving a school job in June of 2017, getting married October 2017 and never thought I would see anyone again, except for my boss, who was coming and giving a toast. Well guess what? One teacher and I, who were good work friends, ended up becoming friends socially. But I did not know that at the time........

Hi Sarah! I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I would just try to remain positive that things will eventually work out! Are there specific individuals who you'd like to invite that weren't on the previous list?
