Guest Favors

My wedding is still 2 years out but I’m trying to get the creative ideas flowing, what are the best guest favors that people will actually enjoy receiving?

Hi there! A lot of brides have decided to forgo favors in recent yrs because they do tend to be left behind. That said I personally love favors we are doing coffee favors, edible favors are always popular (I love the couples favorite snacks favors) some other cute ideas-- something related to a hobby you enjoy (golf tees, guitar picks etc) tea, hot coco, scratch off lotto tix, spices, candles, personalized match books. teaspoons, pizza cutters. Happy planning!

Many couples skip the favors because they get left behind and it’s money wasted. So they put the money towards the guest experience instead that they will appreciate and remember: good food, free drinks, great dj.

A lot of people say edible favors are best, but we have seen edibles left behind that the couple and their parents could not give away at the end of the night.

Edible/drinkable is always great. It looks like your wedding is in the fall, so you could incorporate the season with your edible favors- caramel apples, s’mores kits, apple cider donuts, mulled wine mixes, etc.

We did m&ms in white, orange and burgundy (our two wedding colors) in little containers and bottle openers. But only about half our guests took them. I personally wouldn't waste the money

I love literally all of Cece's suggestions. I agree that edible/drinkable favours go over better for sure.

I'd say put the money towards some kind of experience. Whether that's an additional station at cocktail hour, upgrading to a full bar, a photo booth, a caricature artist, late night snacks, etc., those tend to be used more than traditional favors.

We did koozies, but they did double duty on the beer bottles during the wedding, so they got used (even those that were left behind)

Not sure if it counts as a favor, but planning to have a photo booth that prints out two sets of photos with our names & date at the bottom… guest will get clear, magnetic sleeve for their photo strip (photoboothnook brand) & have that as a wedding memento. (Other print goes in guest book with a sweet message to us.) I got this magnetic sleeve idea from a wedding i went to, it’s probably the only wedding photo booth strip I have visible & didn’t misplace somewhere- just due to it being so easy to protect in the sleeve & stick to the fridge.

His family insisted on baking an edible favor that they feel strongly about, so we’ll have those also.
