Guest Dinner Seating

Erin , on May 18, 2019 at 12:07 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hello everyone! I’m having trouble figuring out how to arrange the seating for dinner. We have 300 guests coming to our wedding and originally I was planning to do escort cards but not place cards, the only problem is they are around $1.00 a piece, I’m not sure if I can justify spending $300.00 plus tax and shipping for something that will be thrown away at the end of the night. So then I thought about doing a large seating board, which would solve that issue. But then I come to the dilemma of “how will the hotel know what guest ordered which plate of food?” I would almost have to do some kind of place cards if if I did a board, wouldn’t I? What are you guys doing, what are your opinions? Any advice is appreciated since I’m only 60 days away from getting married!

You will have to have place cards if you're having a plated meal. Unfortunately, large seating chart boards tend to not work as well for large guest lists and they just cause a traffic jam of 300 people trying to find their names. You can get extremely inexpensive place cards from Vistaprint for 25 cents a piece or so.

Have you thought of doing them yourself? You could get cardstock print on it then cut and fold!!

You can also get perforated printer paper that you just have to tear the cards out, then you won’t even have to worry about measuring and cutting straight! I saw this at michaels with the rest of the place cards but I’m sure they have it on amazon
