My original thought when we started an invite list was we'd have no more than 130... It has slowly grown to almost 150 now & I feel like there's still more we are missing but I'm hoping I'm wrong 😬 Our venue coordinator told us to typically expect around 60% to show up... So we are planning for only about 100 to actually come.
We are inviting an estimate of 80. It includes our close friends and family members that have been around thru the growth of our relationship.
The count was based on budget and also that we wanted close people that were actually close to us. Not just people to have a good time and didn’t have interest or involvement in our big day.
Our max is 30, currently only 24 people on the guest list (including us). My parents are the only family on the list, some close friends of ours and that’s it. FH doesn’t even want his dad and step mom there 🤷🏻♀️
We are planning for 120. We are cutting a lot of people out to keep at our goal of 120. Although it can be frowned upon, we may need to invite more as others decline. We can’t afford to increase our count and people seem to expect to be invited. This might be the hardest part about wedding planning so far :/
