Guest Count

How do you ask for a guest count on RSVPs without giving them the free all to invite ever? We know each invite will be for (2) adults, we basically just want it for figuring out how many kids will be in attendance.

You should indicate how many seats you’ve reserved for their household, then there should be a line for them to write names and the number attending.

Do you give singles all a plus one I’m assuming?

That’s up to you and your budget. We didn’t have many singles so we gave them all a plus one. I think it’s courteous to at least give them to single guests who won’t know anyone else. Any other plus ones are optional.

    Guest Count 1
When designing your RSVP have a line that clearly indicates how many seats you have reserved for the person it’s addressed to and another line that allows them to state the number who are attending. I have included two examples. Guest Count 2
I used a combination of the two. This way it is clear to guests how many people are allotted in their party and they can clearly indicate how many are actually coming.

You’re the best, thank you for the info! Going to do this. I’m sure it’s worth the extra time filling out how many are invited.

You’re welcome!! It really is. It avoids the of stress of some people adding their own count and you have an exact figure of who is coming so you know how much you’re spending.

This maybe difficult and we had some trouble. We have 100 guest count but we forgot when trying to make the seating chart. Also your venue might count the children for your count so make sure the age. Our venue we agreed any kid under 4 would not be counted for the food but then we have to give a seat at the table but not if the child is 1. So just double check before making any final arrangements.
