Guest book size

I'm almost ready to totally ditch the guest book. But I'm looking at the large monogram wood letters on Etsy as an alternative so I can hang it in my home later. I messaged one seller and they said they're 24" letter holds 80-100 signatures. I'm inviting 123 people to my wedding. Do you think the 24" letter will be big enough? Do most people have one person from their family sign for the family or do more individuals sign? I'm thinking with some declines, a few children, and the families only signing once, we probably wouldn't have more than 100 signatures but I'm waay overthinking this too.

Here's a picture of what I'm considering. Mine would be the letter "C" though.

I imagine most families will have one individual sign on behalf of the family unless they have a particularly close personal relationship with you or your partner. My partner and I are using an unconventional guest book, so we will not have to worry so much about page numbers to guest ratios. I have observed that most people try to be considerate of space, though, at the weddings I have attended, and many will share pages if the space is large enough as well. All will work out for the best, whatever you choose for your guestbook!

We've done these at a couple of baby showers and bridal showers for friends. Depending on how big some of the guests write, that should work fine and be a wonderful way to remember your day. If you think that it might not be enough, maybe do your first initals as well. That will give people plenty of room to write their good wishes for you.

I agree that it should work for the reasons you listed. It also depends on how big they write, but I think it will work honestly.

Definitely don’t over think it. Even if you get 123 guest, I doubt every single person will write, and yes, i would say most families will sign once. That what I do when I go to a wedding, write one for the whole family. Hope this helps.

Btw, I think the letter photobook is a great idea! I didn’t think about that! Wow now I am thinking if I should ditch my picture guest book!

I would think that size will work for that group! We did an 11x14 print of Mexico and had everyone sign around it. We had 60 guests and it is pretty full. Most had one person sign for the family. A few guests did not sign and my mom was hunting people down and reminding them.. which was doable at a small destination wedding. You might want to have someone standing there to greet people when they enter and asking them to sign if it is really important to you to get all the signatures!

We're doing this but I have 5 9" letters (I'm spelling out his last name). i'm more worried about smudging than the space. we have 102 people coming and like everyone said, most families will sign once. we may do like a "give your advice" card box thing, and I figured if people want to get wordy, they can do it on that.
