I have a couple ideas. I'm either going to draw a cartoon of us and put it in a wide mat to have people sign, or I'm going to have a soccer ball for everyone to sign (we both love soccer). Haven't decided yet. I really like the globe idea someone mentioned.
I make quilts for friends when they have babies but I've never made and kept one for myself. I'm having everyone sign swatches of fabric in the color scheme of our wedding and then will piece together the quilt, along with unsigned squares, afterwards. I might even make a swatch of my dress into a square after the fact
This is what we did. I found the above picture on etsy. We lived the idea and had a friend design it for us with our countries and names in our favorite colors. We're an international couple and this idea was perfect for us. We love how it turned out and hung it in our apartment.
We're having everyone sign Corn Hole boards (idk if boards are the right word for that) lol.
I see so many people do these guest books and then they just store them away never to be seen again (fh's brother has his in a corner in his garage) I wanted something we could get use out of, after the wedding we'll seal the boards to protect the names and then we can use them at parties!
This is our plan too! I'm a little nervous about people getting confused or something with it = did you have any logistical issues? Also did you just have a sign or did someone sit there and help guests use it?

We had a sign! But the film for Polaroids is INCREDIBLY expensive so I wouldn’t recommend for a guest list > 100. — and most of our guests were young so there were no logistic problems because many of them have Polaroids themselves. Make sure you have your guest book, different color pens, and double sided tape — that all worked super well. Also my planner was a rockstar and took it upon herself to test it out and make sure everything was working properly. I cried when I read through the book after the wedding!
My fiancé races cars and while we don't want a racing themed wedding, we both wanted a nod to our biggest hobby, so our guest "book" will be a helmet that everyone can sign, like this. It'll most likely end up in the room where we keep his trophies so it'll work for decor in the house too.
There are so many fun things you can do!!! I've heard of or seen a wooden bench, a wooden initial, bean bag toss, a fingerprint tree, or a picture (either an actual picture of the 2 of you or a drawn one). Google it and see what peaks your interest! Or think of a unique way to tie in the theme and feel of your wedding or your hobbies. The sky is really the limit!! We did a shadowbox type of frame with little wooden stars for people to sign and drop in. Here's several really fun ideas that might work for you!!
