Growing Out.

Myrh, on June 27, 2019 at 3:31 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8

Hello,

So I am recently engaged and right now I am growing out my hair and right now my hair is as close to a mullet as it can get without it being an actual mullet. If anybody has any tips on how to grow out my hair faster or what to do to help it grow out nicer. The date is going to be 9/21/2020.

Thanks,

Myrh

I would have your hair stylist cut it into something more even or at least blend the shorter part of your hair into the longer part. I used to be the type of person who got my hair cut maybe once a year, but my hair has started growing significantly quicker since I started getting regular trims. Prenatal or hair, skin, and nails vitamins work great. Wear your hair down as often as possible to avoid breakage from putting it up. Avoid blow drying or heat styling when you can, use a heat protectant when you can't. Protect your hair with a hat or a leave in conditioner in the sun/pool/ocean. Wash, at most, every other day.

I has a mullet as well!!!!! I have curly hair so it curls up and it's barely noticeable, although I can see it and bothers me but if you do cut the mullet it will seem like is taking longer to grow. I'm letting it grow for our wedding as well and mine is in May. So I'm just taking prenatals and not putting any heat on it and putting it in protective styles like a hair band most of the time and washing it less.

I got engaged 19 months before our wedding, so similar to your timeline! I had these awful layers in my hair from a "chemical cut" from bleaching my hair too much. I stopped coloring it AT ALL for an entire year, used Ovation Cell Therapy shampoo/conditioner/treatment/mask every time I washed my hair, used a nice leave in conditioner & heat protectant, and tried to dry my hair or use heat products as little as possible. I also started taking Biotin w/ Collagen vitamins daily. I slept on silk pillowcases & washed them weekly, I cleaned out my hair brushes weekly, and I used "no pull" hair ties & "no pull" head wraps when I got out of the shower. I also would leave either coconut oil or Olaplex in my hair 1-2 times a month for 30 minutes. I'm really happy with the improvement in my hair health and it's grown a lot! I also went in for trims every 8 weeks, just to cut off split ends.

Biotin is great to help your hair grow. Olaplex is great for your hair, ESPECIALLY if it is dyed. Get trims frequently.

I'm taking the gummy prenatal vitamins, as well as Biotin, which was recommended by my hair stylist. You can find it anywhere supplements are sold (WalMart, Target, Walgreens, etc.). It's working, as my hair is finally growing!!
