Groupme for guests?

Is it weird to have a groupme for all/most of our guests? I’ve noticed a lot of people haven’t been checking our website and I want them to be able to download the wedding wire for guests app before the wedding. It would be a lot of people so it might get out of hand but I can’t think of any other ways to get information to the masses. Thoughts?

Save the Dates and Invites share the most important information. If people want more, they may check your website but they also may text or call you or your parents. I would 100% avoid having people download Wedding Wire or GroupMe. I would never do that as a wedding guest, I can get all the information I need off the invite.

Hey Natasha!
Have you included an information card with your invitation? I would imagine that all relevant information for your wedding has already been relayed through your invitations, like location and start times.
As the pp mentioned, your guests will visit your site if they are interested in finding out more info or want to check the details but there is no obligation to use it or to download an app to enjoy your wedding.
Is there any specific information on your wedding website that you are eager for your guests to know?

I put the website information on the invite but a lot of people didn’t even see it....I guess there’s only so much that’s in my control but everyone is coming from out of town so there are a lot of chances for miscommunication.
