Group photo timing?

My cousin did this-she actually had everyone go on the dance floor during dinner between the main course and dessert so she was mostly guaranteed to have everybody still there and mostly paying attention!

We’re planning to do one right after the parent dances. Since everyone will be out on the dance floor for the photo, we’re hoping that most people will just stay out there lol

Daughter had hers taken as she and SIL were walking back up the aisle just after the ceremony ended. The officiant announced them as Mr & Mrs, the music started and they began walking, and the officiant asked all the guests to stand at their seats and face the back. The photographer got awesome photos of B&G surrounded by all their guests. It's a beautiful picture; daughter has a large canvas print hanging above their mantel. As soon as the photographer got a couple pictures, the recessional continued with the wedding party following the B&G out.

View Quoted Comment This is kind of what we are doing. Except we have an outdoor wedding, so we will process down 30 or so feet past the end of the chairs. Then everyone will process and line/ crowd up around/ behind us. Directions will be given.

We did not but we just attended a wedding where everyone was asked to bring up a thing that lit up and wave it around so as they stood in the center they were surrounded with lights. She shared the photo on FB and it was pretty cool!

We did after our ceremony at the church before our guests headed to cocktail hour at the reception venue.
