Groomsmen "proposals"

My husband is so weird with his friends so he just called them. They got together for some big tennis match and bought them all a bottle of their favorite liquor and called it a day.

Mines a Deputy and most of them are on his shift other than 2 and them 2 already know but the others do not.. granite we still have PLENTY of time. But i have already asked all my girls!

We are June 6 2020 and asked the end of March this year.

We are in October 2020. Alomst 1 year!

My husband asked his guys the day after we got engaged lol. He just texted/called them. I asked my girls between 6-7 months out from the wedding and did little proposal gifts.

I wouldn't even consider asking more than a year out, so he has plenty of time. Even two months before the wedding would honestly be fine.

Some he asked in person and some he texted. He actually asked his people before I asked mine because I wanted to send a thing in the mail asking (since my friends are spread out all over the place).

Omg! Mine too, I proposed to the girls last month meanwhile I can’t even get FH to commit to buying the guys a little gift. I told him he has till next month to ask. Everyone should know sooner so they can budget and make travel arrangements.

My FH asked his groomsmen about a week or 2 after I asked my bridesmaids, which was about 3 weeks after the proposal. He sent them a decal of their favorite sports team instead a card that he DIYed. It said "obviously she's making me do this, but will you be my groomsmen?" with a bow tie on the outside of the card. We saw the card idea on Etsy.

I don't think mine ever asked his aha I think it was literally like oh you're a groomsmen by the way.

My FH started asking his guys about 9 months out.

My FH asked them right when we got engaged but didn't do gifts yet. He plans on giving them custom socks, shirts and knives for the wedding. They will get those a few days before wedding. We have been engaged for a year and we both asked about 11 months ago lol

Mine asked his probably a month after we got engaged so..... 7 months before the wedding.

I asked all mine in oct of 2018 a month after proposal. Him on the other hand took a good 3-4 months to ask his peeps. He just called them and asked lol. Guys are basic

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Either he asks them in time for them to rent/buy whatever outfits he wants them to wear, or he doesn't. It doesn't really affect you, either way.

And he certainly doesn't need to do a "proposal." He can ask them informally in person, by phone, by text, etc.

Hey, Rebecca, we are month twins! I have already asked most of my girls expect 1 but it's like pulling teeth for my FH to ask his friends! I have two that are even out of state and asked one so far while all of his are all in the same town! LOL I just decided that I'll get them a personalized wallet and give it to FH and tell him to go give these to all your groomsmen please thank you! Hahaha I wouldn't worry about it until October though!

My FH texted some and asked some in person, if I recall correctly. Whichever way is more comfortable for him to ask is fine!
