Groomsmen Gifts

Michaela, on November 7, 2020 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
So my fiancé has yet to get his groomsmen a gift and we are coming up on the wedding day quick. We’re trying to think of something simple, and not super expensive, but will be a good thank you for being a part the day with us. What have everyone else’s husbands/FH gotten for their groomsmen??

The only problem. I wrote groomsman and they wrote Bridesman. I'm so glad that Angel (who is a man) has a great sense of humor. I was upset for the mistake that was made. I do not remember if I made it or if the company made a mistake. But he loved it and thought it was funny.

Pick something that fits their hobbies and personal interests that is not related to the wedding at all.

I found a great idea on Pinterest. It’s a “mini” bar. Gonna put a couple of alcohol shooters with some mini can of Coke in a mason jar. Probably put some gift cards in to a local restaurant.

DH got his groomspeople cufflinks/earrings/necklaces that spoke to him and the relationship they had.

So, like, he got his sister dog earrings, because she loves dogs, he got his BM/childhood friend - and I kid you not - squirrell cufflinks, because that is a running joke for them for about 20 years.

I agree with tle previous comments - shop for each one individually, as if it's their birthday or Christmas. You could do a pint glass with a 6-pack of their favorite beer and a gift card, or you could do an engraved pocket knife, or you could do crazy socks and a hangover kit.

We ordered personalized wallets on Etsy. It seemed like it was something they would all actually use!Groomsmen Gifts 3

I’d skip trying to get the same gift for all of them. They were selected and agreed to stand next to him at your wedding. So, a generic gift to all of them isn’t very personal. Instead, get gifts that are specific to each guy’s style or interest. Since they’re his GM’s he knows them well and that makes coming up with individual gift ideas much easier.

My fiance got his groomsmen a beer caddy with a bottle opener attached, beer coozie and he is going to buy beer to put in them. He bought them for $6 and we might paint their initials on them.

As several said above, shop as though it is their birthday. Not the same thing for everyone. They have separate relationships with you. They are not a long term group. Think of each person's interests, looks, preferences. My husband got someone with a folding poker table a new felt for it, and a felt for his pool table as well. We got Trailmap handbooks and maps for a hiker, new picnic table benches, a nice aprés ski sweater. Things that are not personalized in any way are best ( least likely to be discarded.)
