Groomsmen attire

Melanie, on June 10, 2020 at 11:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
My fiancé and I are currently having a hard time agreeing on what he and the groomsmen should wear for the weeding. I personally like the idea of them all in navy but he want to be in navy with them in a ivory jacket and black pants which I’m not sure will look right. The girls will be in gold dresses, I added a picture of the dress closeup. Any suggestions of what attire we should do for them? Also does anyone have pictures of their wedding party with the girls in gold dresses thanks!Groomsmen attire 1

I think all navy suits would look so good with those dresses or just a classic all black suit

If you’re wearing a white dress, I don’t think the groomsmen in ivory would look very good.

They should be in navy, with your FH in navy too. I like the groomsmen and groom in the same color suit. Different tie though, so the groom stands out.

I'll say all navy's shirt if that's what you want a white shirt and a gold bow or tie

I agree that if you're in white, ivory on the groomsmen could look really weird. I would go for navy, but you could also put the groom in an ivory suit if he wanted. Then you would both stand out really dramatically from your attendants.

I think Navy would look best with the gold dresses. His color scheme will not necessarily match at all.

The other option to consider if your FH is set on his attire is to dress the groomsmen in black.

Assuming he's talking about tuxedos rather than suits his choices are fantastic, though the most classic choice would be "midnight blue," a bit darker than navy. Midnight blue tuxedos (see James Bond in Dr. No or Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief) and ivory tuxedo jackets with black pants (Bogart in Casablanca or Bond again in Goldfinger) are extremely classic and go with everything, and they look great together.

I think Navy suits, but also where did you find the beautiful bridesmaid dresses?
