Groomsmen Attire

Question about groomsmen attire (literally asking for my FH since he’s not sure what to do). Are you having the groomsmen have a pocket square AND a boutonniere, or just one or the other? We’re definitely having them all do the bouts but FH is unsure if they should also get pocket squares to match their ties. I’ve been to weddings with both, and ones with just the pocket squares, but I haven’t been to a wedding with just the bouts so I wasn’t sure if that’s a traditional option. Would love to hear what you’re doing!

    We did both, but you don't have to have pocket squares at all. I would go to a rental shop (even if you aren't renting from men's wearhouse, you can take fiance and look at options) with a fake flower and look at what you like (so have fiance in a suit, and look at all the options).

    We had the guys wear black ties and pocket squares that matched the BMs' dresses and then they had their boutonnieres.

    My husband wore both but the Best Man just had a boutonniere. The Officiant was my fiancé's other best friend so he also had a boutonniere and wore no pocker square. Here are some photos so you can see what it looked like:Groomsmen Attire 1Groomsmen Attire 2

    FH didn't want to do pocket squares, so we aren't going to have them 🤷‍♀️ I think having both looks nice, but I let him decide.
