Groomsman’s Suits

Samantha, on June 30, 2019 at 8:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
I’m looking for suggestions on where to find groomsman’s suits! Anyone try The black tux online? Or have suggestions for retailers? Not sure we want to go with Men’s Warehouse

We had to do Men's Warehouse because all of our guys were all over the country so it was the easiest option and they were easy to work with. Not sure why you don't want to use them though. I personally wouldn't order one online unless each guy went somewhere in person to be measured by a professional. I think it also depends on if you want the guys to rent or buy a tux. Renting is generally cheaper especially if most of the guys don't ever plan on wearing a tux again.

Daughter & SIL were very happy with Black Tux. It was very convenient and all six guys looked awesome. (Also, MUCH less expensive than Men's Warehouse.)

We are using Mens wearhouse. My FH actually got a custom ivory suit made by them for our wedding. They are very easy to work with and they accommodate you greatly. He has free alterations and care for the life time of the suit. I think they ate great and none of our groomsmen or ushers or anything have had any issues. My oldest sons tux rental was free because our wedding party is rather large.
I love dealing with Mens wearhouse.

We got ours at Macy’s. We checked out men’s wear house and weren’t really all that impressed. My FH and groomsmen got Calvin Klein slim fit suits and they look fantastic. They also have a kids line so we were able to get my son a matching suit in the same color. Prices were the same as renting because we bought during a great sales. ’ve heard good things about the Black Tux too.

Like first comment we did mens warehouse because our groomsmen were all over the country. I honestly wasn't thrilled with their service though and because they are all renting our guy gave us little to no attention. Anytime I asked to see things together to make sure it matched he seemed annoyed like I was bothering him. I wanted to try the black tux online thing but it was more expensive than renting from mens warehouse. But hey, you get what you pay for. We didn't pay much but our service was crap.

Just FYI, I think two of the six guys' stuff came in a little tighter than they were comfortable in, but NOT a problem with Black Tux. As long as you contact them about any issues within 2 days of the suit delivery, they guarantee delivery on whatever you need to make it right. The guys looked awesome the day of the wedding, and, honestly, in photos it's really hard to tell the difference between the GMs suits from BT and the G's custom-made suit from Indochino (close to $400). Daughter bought the guys' white dress shirts, on sale, with coupons, from Kohl's for $6 each, and they all had black shoes & belts, so they only had to rent the jacket & pants from BT -- so I think it was right around $100.

Another pp mentioned buying on a great Macy's sale. We did that for FOB and his suit is gorgeous; his is Ralph Lauren, and I think on sale with additional coupons/discounts, it was around $300.

    Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that. You could do what my fbil did. He had his guys get measured wher they live and they texted their measurements to him and they ordered the tuxes where he lives for the guys.

I didnt lease tux's. I went to china online. I purchased all my guys tuxedos for less than 100.00 each. I had them go and get all the measurements at mens warehouse, they sent them to me, I added and inch here and there and had them shipped to the guys all over the country. They then took them to the alteration shops to have them fitted to them. Worked out great! Wonderful quality too.
