Groomsman bailing last minute!?

Ceelie , on August 27, 2019 at 7:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Uhh so my FH just texted me and said one of his groomsmen won’t be able to make it to our ceremony because of his little brothers birthday party. I’m sorry, WHAT? The wedding is this Saturday and he’s just now telling us this!? Dude I’m not even sure what to do. He’s currently talking with FH so I’m hoping he can make it work but wow.. unbelievable haha.

WOW! i'm sorry but what a jerk. It's not like he didn't know it was his brother's birthday since it falls on the same day EVERY YEAR. He could have said no from the start if he thought there would be a conflict. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this so close to you wedding

Unless his little brother is dying and this is his last potential birthday, that's a piss poor excuse

He really should have given more notice instead of waiting to tell you now. I don't understand why he would drag his feet

Well this is really inconsiderate of him... especially if it is just a birthday party and not the actual date of his brother's birthday. Like what? I would say, "soooo take your brother out to eat on a different day this wedding has been planned and you've been a part of it for x amount of time and knew this..".
