Grooms-women's attire?

My FH is having his sister and his cousin on his side, who are women. Has anyone had this before? Is it best to have the women in suits that match the groomsmen or are dresses in the same color as the suits okay? I don't think I want them in the same color as the bridesmaids, but I am not really...

That would look awesome to have them in the same color dresses as the groomsmen's suits! I agree they should be comfortable. For the longest (before even becoming engaged), I've dreamed of having my two childhood BFFs on my side: one is a male and the other is a female-lesbian (she doesn't wear dresses), so I anticipated having to make a somewhat similar decision for the latter...at least color-scheme wise. I was definitely not going to put either of them in a dress. Smiley smile

We are having a groomswoman! The guys are wearing black suits and the girls are wearing long purple dresses, so I'm going to tell her to wear a long black dress (or I'd be fine with a cute jumpsuit) in whatever style she is most comfortable!

Dresses matching the color of the groomsmen's suits would be ideal here in my opinion.

I have seen this before and I have seen it where the women wore suits and I have seen it where the women have worn a dress that matches the men. I think it is more so to their comfort.

My brother will be my "best man" because we aren't having a wedding party but I want him to be there to help me down the stairs and fix my train Haha. He is wearing a suit and probably even a boutonniere. I say a nice dress that matches the bridesmaids or even matches the tie that the grooms will wear.

My friend did this... he wanted his 2 sisters on his side... so the dresses they wore were the same style as the bridesmaid dresses but the same color of the groomsman suits.

So like, the bridesmaid dresses were pink and were all the same style dress. Groomsman suits were navy blue. So the groomswomen wore the same bridesmaid dress style, but in navy blue.

I was in a wedding and stood on the groom side and wore what they did but we wore jeans and a white button down shirt. If the guys were in suits I would have preferred to be in a long dress that matched rather than wear a suit

Do what you want, really!! Its your special day. In all honesty, I don't care too much about "etiquette"

We also have the same situation. My bridesmaids will be in a burgundy color dress and my FH and groomsmen will be in Navy Suits. My FH's sister will be standing on his side in a Navy Dress.

We are most likely going to have her in the same style dress that my girls are in, but in Navy instead of burgundy!

I've been to weddings with men and women mixed on both sides. Women on grooms side usually wear a dress in the same color as groomsmen suits. Men on brides side wear suits that match the color of bridesmaid dresses.

Our male presenting groomsmen were asked to wear a burgundy shirt with grey slacks and vest, and a silver tie.

We gave our female presenting Best Person the option to wear the shirt with vest and slacks, or to wear either a burgundy or grey/silver dress.

My FSIL just did this for their wedding! The two grooms-women had the option to either wear a suit like the rest of the groomsmen, or wear dresses that match the color of the suits of the groomsmen (in their case it was a light grey). It looked really nice. I think either would look good depending on what they are comfortable with!

Ok so i have a bridesman, and before we decided on the size of our bridal party (2 on each side, tiny) FH thought he was going to have a groomswoman. i was going to leave it up to her: either an orange dress, or a tux with the orange vest.

my MOH is wearing plum and my bridesman is in a tux w plum vest Smiley smile
