Grooms woman???

Kylee, on May 28, 2020 at 8:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
So my fiancé has 2 women in his bridal party, a Best Woman and a Groomswoman. I’m stuck on what to do with florals for them. Should they wear a boutonnières like the rest of the men or carry a bouquet like the bridesmaids? They both will be in black dresses rather than a bridesmaid dress to match the men’s tuxes. I still plan on having the grooms women walk the bridesmaids down the aisle so i don’t know if 2 bouquets would look off.

Maybe they could wear a corsage? Somewhere in the middle?

Maybe a corsage or a different bouquet from your bridesmaids?

We had a bride's man and groomswoman. They walked together. The bride's man wore the same outfit the groomsmen and the groomswoman wore the same dress as the bridesmaids. For the flowers, the groomswoman carried a bouquet identical to the bridesmaids. I don't think it would look weird to have them carry flowers even if they are walking with someone who is also carrying flowers. If you don't like this idea, I would go with a corsage like the other girls recommended. I think a boutonniere would seem very odd on a dress.

Ask them if they want to carry a bouquet or wear a corsage.

I was a groomslady and I wore a similar color dress as the bridesmaids and no bouquet or boutonnière. Another differentiator we did was the bridesmaids wore matching white chuck converse shoes and the groomsmen side wore matching black converse shoes, so my shoes were black to match the guys suits. A corsage would have been awesome idea!

You can't go wrong with either one. Which do you prefer?

Btw a corsage is a boutonniere for women with a few extra flowers.. Usually worn by the couple's moms and grandmas who are also in dresses so I can't imagine how it would look out of place on an attendant.

I think a corsage would work for them! Or a bouquet too would be fine

My husband had his two sisters as groomswomen and they wore wrist corsages.

I think this depends entirely on the look you want. Do you want them distinct from your bridesmaids, or do you want a more cohesive look with fewer differences between people?

We had two bridesmen, and a groomswoman. For her, I just had her carry an identical bouquet. I don't think it'll look weird for the both of them to be carrying bouquets.
