Groom's Haircut Timeline?

We're getting married on a Friday and FH is planning on getting his haircut Thursday morning.

My H knows how fast his hair grows in, and he usually likes it best about 10 days after it's been cut. He's very particular about his hair-cutting schedule, so he just made the appointment for when he felt was the best time.

I had not even thought about this yet. I guess it will all depend on how fast his hair grows and how fresh of a cut he wants at the wedding.

He should do a trial well before the wedding and if he likes it, he should take pictures and go back to the same person a few days before the wedding

H went the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding for a haircut. He trimmed his beard himself on Thursday night.

We got his barber to come to our venue and do their hair and beards the day of

I'm pretty sure you r FH can figure that out for himself. MY FH handles all his own haircare stuff and knows when to get it cut.

My H got his hair cut and beard trimmed/shaped the day before the wedding.

I am having him get his hair cut the monday before and the friday wedding

I love that he's particular about his hair cutting schedule! FH will go months without a haircut! I normally cut it at home but we need something a little extra nice for the wedding. He wasn't sure if we should go a week, or just a few days.

I mean, your FH should know what looks best when. I’m not going to bother with that aside from just reminding him of the date so he can re-arrange his haircut schedule if needed. Like, I had to remind him to move some things around for our engagement photos next month, but otherwise he’s taking care of it.

Ha! Thank you so much for the tip. I guess I should have included in the post "we want to know". I don't schedule his appointments or keep track of his hair cutting schedule. We both weren't sure of how soon beforehand to schedule, but since I'm the one with the WW account...I'm the one who asked.

He's taking care of scheduling the actual appointment, but I normally cut it for him at home. He just wanted some advice on when to schedule it.

Yeah, we should have been keeping track of how it looked after the last couple of haircuts, but the last thing we remembered to do was see when it looked best. He scheduled it for the Thursday morning before our Saturday wedding.

My point was that as an adult who does schedule his own appointments - he knows how fast his hair grows and when he needs to go in for a haircut. It seems strange for you to ask a question to us about his hair. My FH is overly particular about his own hair but he still knows around when he thinks it needs to be cut and how fast his own facial hair grows to time these things out.

It totally depends then! My FH looks best a few days after he gets his hair cut, but should probably get his beard shaped up the day before.

Our master stylist said a week before the wedding. But I guess it also depends on your hubby's hair and if he has sensitive skin that may need time to calm down. My fiance skin gets red after haircuts, so I would take that into consideration if he has sensitive skin like my fiancé

FH husband told me that he’ll probably go out with the boys the morning of and get their hair done. I didn’t even ask but I’m glad he’s thinking ahead lol.

Make sure he's going to his normal hair person! If he is then 2-3 days before is good. If he doesn't have a specific person that normally cuts his hair have him try someone out a few months before to make sure they work well with his hair.

I normally cut his hair at home, but he's gone to this one barber in the city a few times. Since our wedding is in 6 weeks, he had a "trial" a few weeks ago. Too much time has passed to remember what day is the best day after his cut, but we LOVED the barber that cut it.
