Groom's dinner

FutureMrs.S, on February 3, 2014 at 2:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hey all, What is the average price for a grooms dinner. Our venue has it for a $500 food/drink min. that night and then we get the day before the wedding to decorate the venue. I think that sounds pretty reasonable but not sure.

    Rehearsal dinner?

Ours was around $300 for 20 people. No alcohol and a buffet with 2 entrees. We provided dessert.

I don't know if there's a way to come up with an average, considering cost will depend on location, venue, and food served, as well as how much alcohol people drink.

I like the idea of having the venue the day before to decorate so we aren't doing it the morning of.

Oh the rehearsal dinner doesn't have to be anything extravagant at all. It can be as little or as much as you'd like.

Grooms dinner? Never heard of a rehearsal dinner being called that. It can be as cheap or as expensive as you want. $500 seems a bit steep considering there shouldn't be that many people at the dinner. Nothing expensive. Since I'm paying for $3000 for 40 people to eat the day of the wedding, I'm not planning on spending $500 or even $300 on 13 people.
