Grooms cake

Did anyone do a grooms cake? If you did, what was it? I'm struggling with his. I'm thinking about a car cause he's a manic. What do you think?

    My husband told me he didn’t want a theme, just chocolate lol. So we did chocolate and cookies n cream with a crushed Oreo topping

    My FH told me not to waste the money. I let him pick the cake flavor, which the wedding party will be eating, and he helped pick the cupcake flavors too for the guests.

    If it’s something you think your FH would really appreciate then do it but otherwise I wouldn’t waste the money. I did one and we had so much cake leftover.

    I’m doing one ... it’s going to be a Death Star. I like the first one but he said he prefers second. I also go a cake topper for it from Etsy. Grooms cake 1

    I think a car or a tool belt or a tool box would be cool. We had a Super Mario Bros. theme, so his cake matched! I saw a few toppers on etsy that would go great with a simple cake! I think the more you have to do to a cake with adding fondant the more expensive it'll be.

    I'm going to order a firefighters themed cake (but it's going to be a surprise). Where he's from, groom's cakes aren't popular at all, but it's popular where my family is from so I'm going to do it as a surprise to incorporate a bit of my family traditions in while also giving him a cute cake that will make him smile and give him chocolate frosting (his fave, but the wedding cake will be white frosting).

    They're more common in the South but you can definitely do that. Pick whatever flavor he likes that is the same as the main cake.
