Grooms cake!

Madisyn, on September 26, 2019 at 12:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

My FH doesn’t like cake and I want to get him a grooms “cake”, but I’m needing some other ideas?

Cookie cake? A tower of donuts? A pie? I'm not usually big on cake either but I will almost always eat pie.

Can you just skip it? Since he doesn't like sweets I don't really see the point. I mean a cake made out of cheese or beef jerky is cute and quirky, but are people actually going to eat them? Seems like a waste.

I was wondering the same thing. If cake doesn't matter to him or he doesn't care for it, why go through the effort and spend the money?

I have never been to a wedding that actually had a grooms cake lol. I know people do it but I personally haven’t seen it. That being said, never heard another guest question about a grooms cake. I think it’s a cute thing to do if you want but no ones gonna miss it if he doesn’t like cake and you don’t see a point.

We don't like cake, so my cake was pies and his cake was doughnuts lol. If he doesn't like sweets, generally, are there some that he particularly likes? We also had Nerds Ropes ("A Couple of Nerds Tied the Knot" lol) available for people because we like those. Maybe you can have something like that, wrapped, and available for people to take?
