How much is a groom's cake? Looking for approximations, nothing perfect. Should I expect to pay $100, $200, $500, more than $500?

Wedding is on Long Island, so consider it NYC prices... and then nothing too crazy... just average... not plain but not over the top... what's an average price?

It depends on many factors. In general, cakes run $3-7 per person. If you do fancier flavors, or alot of decorations, expect to pay more. There are regional differences. I'd expect the NYC area to be on the higher end, so don't let $10 per person shock you.

It's according to what you want. But I wouldn't tell them it's a grooms cake I would just say it's a birthday cake. You just don't want writting on it.

Good call Michella. though we were going to do the groom's cake with the same bakery that's doing the wedding cake...don't know how i could pull that one off...unless i got the groom's cake from a different bakery...
