Groom outfit - Different from the rest

That's the same purple in using too! For ours we have the groomsmen in light grey suits and my groom in dark gery. We were thinking a purple suit (but got too many pimp jokes from his family lol). I think having a black suit with that color purple shirt would look really pretty

You can always have him wear a grey suit so he stands out from the groomsmen

What about white... to coordinate with you....??

I'd go with the black suit, white shirt, and a champagne or silver tie

I am having FH wear a yellow and navy striped tie. Our groomsmen our wearing plain yellow ties. You could also have FH wear a different colored tie/patterned tie, wear a bow tie instead, have a different type of boutonnière, have a different colored vest (For instance if groomsmen have black vests, have FHs be purple), or as you could put FH in a different colored shirt. There are lots of ways to make your groom stand out on Pinterest.

What about black suit, purple shirt, white tie? Or you could do a lighter purple or patterned purple tie. Black suit, purple shirt & black tie? Or have you thought about having him wear a bow tie? So many options! lol. I'm having this problem myself.

Hello, wedding color twin! We decided to put our guys in black suits, white shirts, dark purple vests, and a subtle paisley black & purple tie. Groom will be in the same suit and shirt, but will have a grey vest and tie.

My fh is doing a silver vest while groomsmen are cobalt blue

We r also doing purple. FHs tux jacket is silver, groomsmen black. All purple vest and bow tie. I've attached a pic.

This is how my fiance n groomsmen gonna dress but my fiance will have both colors royal blue vest with purple Hankey best man will be in royal blue like my MOH n the rest will be purple like my brides maids

I would not choose a purple shirt if I were him. If all the other men are wearing a white dress shirt, the groom should not be the one the most casually dressed, and that's what a colored shirt would make him.

If he wants to wear a black suit, he can choose a different tie.

An alternative would be to wear a different suit.

Are they wearing suits or tuxedos? You can't just add a vest to any suit. The cut on the jacket won't always show the vest. A solid color vest added to a tuxedo will give a more prom-ish look.

We are doing groomsmen in dark grey tux with matching grey vest and navy tie. For the groom to stand out he’s doing black tux with ivory vest and tie (my dress is ivory) then pull in the navy with a pocket square. Maybe you could do something similar, he could have white shirt and tie and purple pocket square or boutonnière. It might be easier to get ideas once you go and actually see it all together.

My wedding is still a ways away, but we have deicided that groomsmen will be in navy pants, brown shoes off whte shirts and suspenders and bow tie (to match beidesmaids color). FH will be in same things except he will have a vest over his shirt to stand out from groomsmen.
So, could always have his vest and tie match your dress (white, ivory, champagne etc)

My DH wore a bowtie and his BM wore a tie. That's how they chose to differentiate themselves.
Other than the boutineers they weren't wearing wedding colors

We are opting for no jacket for the groomsmen and a vest for DH with a jacket. All in dark teal
