Groom gift from bride

18 days out from the wedding and I still haven't gotten my FH a wedding day gift yet. Would anyone mind sharing ideas on what they are doing for their FH on the wedding day? I'm debating on just sending him whiskey, shot glasses, and a hand-written note. Does that sound sufficient?

I'm planning to take boudoir pics - and I will give him a note after the ceremony with my handwritten vows. He isn't going to expect me to take the pics so I'm sure he will be both excited and surprised.

I gave my husband a locket with pics of deceased grandparents inside. He wore it inside his jacket. They raised him, so pretty special

I got my fh an engraved pocket knife and I'm getting him a new hat with our initials and wedding date. He wears hats all the time and I want to make sure he has a new one for the wedding. He's not getting me anything lol.

I don't think we're exchanging gifts. The wedding and honeymoon is our mutual gift to each other lol

@jujubee my dad told my FH when we were dating he could get a whole goat for me. It was a running joke he had after watching a few Bollywood movies. So when we got engaged my FH gave my dad a pound of goat meat at the engagement party.

I'm planning on getting FH Star Trek cuff links. The weekend we got engaged we found out a channel is replaying the series so we've been watching ever since. And we plan to go to Paris during our honeymoon so I want to get him tickets to the ballet.

I am going to get a nice card to have delivered to him.

We are marrying each other and having a huge party it doesn't seem necessary to exchange gifts.

That sounds great! I think that'd be a great gift. I want to get my FH something "different" and of course, nerdy. He really wants to go to Blizzcon, so if I can squeeze a ticket in, I'll be gifting him that

I wrote him a letter, got him some Belgian chocolate-covered Oreos, and a little book called "Stuff Every Husband Should Know." At the reception, I surprised him with a saxophone quartet.

My advice: Get something that is relevant to him and/or your relationship. An engraved watch might be nice, or a scrapbook chronicling your relationship might be more his thing. He could be into a boudoir photoshoot album, or he could be perfectly fine with a mix CD of his favorite pump tunes to listen to as he gets ready. You could even get him some fun socks to wear as he walks down the aisle, or cufflinks by his favorite designer, or a fancy cologne. Maybe he's into beer and would be cool with a six-pack of a specialty brew or a personalized growler. Is he religious? Get him a cross, a bible, or a framed prayer for your marriage. Or you could go silly! A pair of satin boxers with a note that says "can't wait to see you in these tonight! Smiley winking" or something that relates to an inside joke you two have. You could do tickets to a game of his favorite sports team or his favorite band. A box of some cookies or chocolates or his favorite candy/snack could also work, as could a little keychain personalized with your wedding date or with a character from his favorite movie. If he reads, maybe a book he's been dying to read with a sweet inscription, or a nice bookmark. If he writes, a fountain pen or a leather journal. If he's a beach bum, some nice sunglasses. Is he a healthnut? Maybe get him a Fitbit or a gps watch. Does he play guitar? Some guitar picks or a personalized strap. You could also arrange for something at the reception; maybe you secretly coordinate to serve his favorite dessert, get him a groom's cake, have a food truck from his favorite restaurant come out after the reception, surprise him with a live band, a photobooth, or sing to him. You get the picture... You have a lot of options, at various price points, if you decide you want to get him a gift.

He picked out a watch. I bought a custom wood box for it and I hired a bagpiper to surprise him at the rehearsal dinner.

I think that's a great gift idea. It doesn't have to be expensive. Just the thought that counts.

I am doing a boudoir shoot and making a book to give to my FH.
