I let my FH pick his song and just walk out to the instrumental version. We mostly listen to rap/hip hop so we both wanted it to be something that reflected us. I'd say have him pick some of his favorite songs and look up instrumental versions and see what he likes best

Look up Vitamin String Quartet on YouTube. Also movie soundtracks are great for instrumentals.
