Groom and Groomsmen Colors

Currently deciding what colors I'd like the groom and groomsmen to wear. The bridesmaids are wearing navy and my MOH is wearing burgundy. My dress is champagne with burgundy accents and I'm thinking Fiance could wear a dark cream/champagne shirt with a burgundy boutonniere. (something like Picture #1)

I'd like all the guys to wear navy suits, however I definitely want the groom to stand out from the groomsmen. Was thinking maybe the groom could wear a slightly lighter/brighter navy and the groomsmen could do a darker navy. And maybe the groomsmen could wear vests instead of jackets. (like Picture #2)

Does anyone think this would like ok? Or have any other suggestions for what colors the groom/groomsmen should wear?

I love the idea of vests for groomsmen and jacket for the groom! As to the color, it may be hard to coordinte two shades of navy and the MOH, but I love the way it looks in the photo above!

I don't like the two diff shades of navy, I prefer pic #1. In order to make FH stand out he is wearing the same tux as the Gm's but with a different tie & handkerchief.

Hi Whitney- Love the color pallette you've chosen!
Sartorially, Making men wear only vests looks a bit unfinished or maybe just different for different's sake. What if, they all wear jackets but only the groom wears a black vest under blue jacket?
What time of day the ceremony takes place can also give you more options for making the groom stand out; i.e. double breasted, tails, etc.
