Hi Everyone! So I'm having a hard time locating a suit rental establishment preferably in Chicago that would carry a hunter green SATIN dinner jacket with a black shawl lapel for my fiance (and would have to be for our 10-year-old son as the ring bearer). I keep seeing velvet instead. I keep seeing green satin in images but not to actually purchase. It's looking like we might have to have them custom made but we really don't want to do that! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated it. I even asked my costume design group (I'm a costume and fashion designer) and turned up nothing. And NO I do not want to make them just because I can sew LOL!

The unusual colors are readily found at prom season but not for children sizes. It sounds like custom made on Etsy might be your best bet.

Mens wearhouse doesn't have a listing of one but I know they do custom stuff. I'm not sure how custom as far as color goes but you can always ask them if that's possible. I've also seen a green one on the black tux but it was velvet.

I ordered from these folks a couple years ago for a sixties style men's singing group. The colors on the monitor are way, way off. Their wine looked pink. But they took a photo and emailed me, it was a dark cranberry red, definitely a wine color. And the navy shown wasn't navy at all on the site. But photo and reality, was a very dark royal or light navy, not the Copen blue pictured. Satin all over jackets are really hard to find except as costumes. Lots of normal fine wool with satin lapels only.
