Greece Honeymoon 🇬🇷

Alex, on April 27, 2020 at 9:27 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
My fiancé and I just booked our honeymoon to Santorini Greece this August and we are so excited! If you’ve traveled or honeymooned there please share some recommendations on things to do and see — places to eat etc. 🙂

Oops just saw Santorini, how long will you be there? Island hopping is recommended.

It’s gorgeous! My fiancé is Greek and although we went to Mykonos I can tell you depending on when in August it might be chilly! We went in September and it was freezing! It was also a pretty busy month for the tourist and cruise ships so that’s also something to keep in mind but you’re going to love it!

We went to Santorini, Paros (our favorite!), and Athens for a vacation. We absolutely loved Santorini and Paros but we’re disappointed in Athens. We found it to be extremely dirty. The acropolis was amazing though - it is a must see! I would recommend spending a night or two tops in Athens at the end of your trip. Enjoy most of your time island hopping! Taking a ferry takes up a good portion of your day, so I would only pick a couple of islands (depending on how long your trip is). You don’t want to spend the majority of your trip on ferries The ferry workers often go on strike and don’t run. This happened while we were there. I’m not sure if that will be happening more frequently now given the pandemic?

Athens has so much history! I recommend getting a tour pass which allows you to go to multiple museums and monuments. The food is absolutely amazing too. The city is pretty dirty but don’t let that make you nervous there’s a lot to do and see. Greece Honeymoon 🇬🇷 1
