Gray or navy?

Brittany, on September 12, 2019 at 4:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

I am getting married in October 2020 and my bridesmaids are going to be wearing burgundy. My future hubs and I are both torn on if we like navy or dark gray better. We are getting married outside and reception in the ball room. I am going for a vintage glam kind of theme with pearls, gems and bling. We also want to make sure he does not blend in with the rest of the guys so we are thinking of doing bow ties for the groomsmen and a traditional tie for him. Any thoughts or pictures if you had these colors?

I love navy suits, so that would be my choice! It also photographs really well, so bonus Smiley smile

I think grey would compliment the burgundy better. When I think about navy and burgundy together, it seems a bit too dark for my liking. But that's just me. I'm totally not saying navy and burgundy don't go well, because they absolutely do, but I'd want a lighter shade like blush, or champagne, or grey to lighten up the palette. What Jeanie has posted above is a great reference!!!

I went to a wedding a few weeks ago where the bridesmaids wore burgundy dresses. The groom had a navy tux and the groomsmen were in grey with burgundy ties. It looked awesome!

Oooo pick navy and you can use the jewel tones pallet. Navy, burgundy, plum, forest green, burnt orange and mustard. I’m getting married this October and my colors are Plum, Navy and Copper. The bridesmaids are wearing plum and the groomsmen have navy pants leather suspenders and plum bow ties.

I vote a medium to dark gray. Navy and burgundy is so overdone in PA it's not even funny. Idk where you live, but that might not be the case.

I never though of having the hubs in one color and groomsmen in another! Thanks for the idea.
