You do not tip anyone the day of the wedding. Always wait until after the honeymoon when you can objectively assess their performance. Then you only tip vendors who went above and beyond the call of duty. Whether they own their business or not is irrelevant. You tip what you can comfortably afford.

Never tip anyone before you see the final service in action. That means do not tip for bad service, no shows or simply showing up to do their job.
