Grandparents

Do grandparents walk down the aisle? My grandmother is still with us (other 3 are deceased) so I was wondering if she has a role or is she just seated during the ceremony?

It's up to you (and her.) I'm not a fan of massive family processions, but if she wants to there's no harm in it.

Is she comfortable walking or would it be a struggle? Before my grandmother passed we were struggling with that same question but decided to seat her before the processional because she would have a hard time getting up the aisle.

FH has 2 grandparents left. One grandfather and one grandmother who are on opposite sides of the family. We are having a cousin from either side walk them down the aisle and into the reception.

Our grandparents were seated prior due to mobility issues. If you only have one grandparent between the two of you and she can/wants to walk down the aisle I would ask her to.

If they want to they can, but I rarely see this.

I have seen it done both ways. It's sweet if they are able to. Sometimes a cousin or brother will escort them down the aisle.

My grandmom was the only living grandparent at our wedding and we had her walk down the aisle with my uncle. I've seen it a lot with grandparents processing and also without. I just wanted my grandmom to feel special and she was really excited about it.

It's really up to you, and if your grandma would like to. If you want to do something to honor your grandma, you could order a corsage for her.
