That is very sweet! Definitely do it after, so it has it's own special time. Do you have a song picked out yet? Is there a way to find out what song they danced to at their wedding, and play that one?! SO cute! Smiley smile

Have you ever heard of an anniversary dance? Everyone who's married (including you and hubby) go out to dance floor. I would maybe choose "when I'm 64" by the Beatles for the song. Then the DJ says those of you who've been married less than a day, please leave the dance floor (you and hubby lose, ha) then one year, five years, ten years, twenty, thirty, forty, and then the couple left dancing gets honored and maybe a gift or your bouquet could go to the grandma. Be sure they'll be the ones left or it will back fire. I was going to do this because FH's grandparents have been married 65 years!

Forgot to mention that the anniversary dance also makes it so that they don't feel awkward being the only ones out there for more than a little while. And it gets more people involved since they've been sitting and watching for awhile if you're doing father/daughter and mother/son dances already.

We are doing the anniversary dance as well. I think it is such a neat idea! My DJ gathers gifts for various things during the reception and this is one event that he gives a gift away for. It's a way to honor the couple who has been together the longest.. I think it's very special.
