Grandparent Song??

Diana, on July 2, 2019 at 6:48 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7
So I only have one grandparent living and I’m trying to come up with a song for her to walk down the aisle. She’s a little old fashioned so I would like it to be some type of piano music. Oh A Thousand Years have been taken over my the “MOMS”.

How many songs are you planning to use? Usually the grandparents and parents walk down to the same song. I wouldn't have more than 3 songs; otherwise it is too many and seems disjointed. The norm would be: song for the parents, song for the wedding party, and song for the bride. Often the wedding party and bride will share the same song (that's what I did).

I got married in December too and used Silent Night as the song for the parents and officiant, groom and groomsman.

Instead of having an usher or his mom to light a memory candle. We decided to have her to light all 6 memorial candles for us. That’s kinda why we want her to have her own song.

Hey Diana! It’s so sweet that you are involving your grandmother in your ceremony this way.

My immediate thought of a song choice is ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong but then I thought that ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Adele would be a beautiful contemporary song if you wanted a couple of options.

What song are you walking down the aisle to?

A beautiful song!! Does it hold any special significance to you, or do you just love the song? 😃

It’s a say we both said when we dating and then got engaged. At last we finally met someone who loves each other for who we are.
