Grandparent gifts?

Jessica, on July 19, 2019 at 11:30 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

So my grandparents are contributing a lot to our wedding and I wanted to get them some kind of gift to give along with the BP gifts and parent gifts. Any suggestions? What did you/ will you do? Also should I be giving gifts to all the grandparents? Or just mine because they contributed to the wedding? Thanks!

We had grandparents wear navy as an extension to our small wedding party. We also had them wear floral cuffs or boutineers.
We had floral arrangements that we gifted to them to enjoy at home, vase or container included, with a nice note for being such a big part in our lives. Furthermore we planned our wedding so we spent time with all our guests including grandparents rather than just the typical hi/thanks for coming/bye.

Get them a grabdparents album of the big day. Have it personalized(Things Remembered does this), you can give them the empty album for now and fill it up after you get the photos. Stop by and spend time looking over the photos together.

Grandparents have stuff, an entire lifetime of stuff. They want memories. They love you, so they want memories of you.

Perfect! Thanks for sharing. I plan on having them wear whatever color they want but we are getting them bouts and corsages. We are doing fake flowers so I was thinking of writing them a nice thank you note and maybe sending then a flower or fruit arrangement and a frame with a wedding picture.

Thanks for sharing! I was planning on getting them a frame or album to put a picture in late on. They live out of state so I was thinking of writing them a thank you note and gifting them the frame or album and then send them a flower or edible arrangement.

Should I do something for the grandparents who are not contributing to the wedding?

Only one of my grandparents is with us and I ended up getting him some really nice embroidered suspenders, since he wears them all the time. I also wrote him a personal note.

Do you know their hobbies or interests? My grandmother lives out of state so I’m getting her a cashmere sweater(she’s always cold) and an indoor gardening kit since she loves gardening but can’t bend down like she used to.

    Yes absolutely get them gifts.

I LOVE the double photo frame with a photo of you and Grandparents when you were a little kid and an empty side with a note behind glass that says “To put our Wedding Day photo of us”

We only have one grandparent left between the two of us, my FH's paternal grandmother. We don't think she'll be able to make it due to health reasons but we still plan on ordering her a corsage if she does attend. Either way we're going to make her Shutterfly album of the wedding as a gift.
