Grandma as flower girl?

I've seen here and there on idea posts of making grandma flower girl...I was wondering if anyone here has done that or went to a wedding that did that? Was grandma happy to do it/how did it go? I'm already having my grandmother walk down the aisle as of now, she's the only living grandparent between...

I really don't like the idea myself, because it reminds me of how some people treat the elderly like children. I used to work in gerontology and it would always make me cringe when this happened. She is a grown woman, so I say treat her as such and find another way to honor her that is more respectful of her age and experience in the world.

I'm actually having my great grandmother walk down as the flower girl exported by her son, my uncle. She is so excited to be a part of my wedding and is happy to help. This will be the only time she gets to be a flower girl.
