Grand entrance?

Tiffani, on July 17, 2019 at 1:27 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

Is anyone planning on not doing a grand entrance? would it be awkward to forgo it? I am thinking of having one about halfway through cocktail hour and just doing a thank you for coming intro speech at dinner? Is that weird?

No, I wouldn’t think twice about it.

I don't want to do a grand entrance because I don't like drawing unnecessary attention to myself. I think grand entrances are mostly about personal preference, though!

Not weird at all. We aren’t doing one. We plan to walk down the aisle together after the ceremony and spend a few minutes alone. Then we are going to walk back to the reception location (same place as the ceremony) and greet everyone during the cocktail reception, which follows the ceremony.

Nope, i hate them and definitely didn't do one. I wish more people would skip it.

We did not do a grand entrance. We joined everyone for cocktail hour and then entered the reception space for dinner with everyone else. Shortly after dinner was served I gave a welcome toast thanking everyone for coming.
