Grand Entrance then first dance

We were planning to have a grand entrance with just FH and I (our WP aren't totally into a big introduction but they would be willing if we asked)

FH aren't very outgoing dancey type people.

We planned to go right into our first dance after the introduction so I thought we would use just the one song but our first dance song sounds a bit melancholy (I'll Be - Edwin McCain)

How do we skip the grand entrance or maybe make it a separate thing with the WP included? What song would transitional well into this? Also how the heck do you have a grand entrance if you are not um energetic enough to start dancing in front of everyone lol

Maybe forgo a song when being introduced. Just have the DJ play a light melody in the background while he announces y'all. Y'all walk in, wave while walking, then go right into your first dance.

We went straight into first dance too. I didn’t want a big drawn out entrance event, but I did want to acknowledge the bridal party. So what we did was have the DJ loop just the intro for our first song, and play the loop under introductions of the bridal party — and for that we had him literally just run down a list of everyones’ first names as they walk in as a group. Then he started the song for real /full version and introduced us and into the dance we went!

We had a different song for the wedding party, and then sinc emy hubby loves heavy metal, we agreed upon the intro of enter sandman by Metallica and came out when the drums broke out...it was actually perfect. Everyone cheered and he faded the music out and as he emceed a little, he started our first dance. Photographer and videographer got their shots, and then we invited all guests to dance and boy did they! Everyone was out on the floor swaying to “Thank you for loving me” by Bon Jovi. It was awesome. In the end, I didn’t really notice if it was broken up or not, as it all happened so fast!
