Grand Entrance Song

Allison, on July 10, 2009 at 9:22 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

My fh and I are having a hard time agreeing on a song for our grand entrance. He's really into classic rock and I like newer pop stuff. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good song that's more classic rock for our entrance.

Thanks

We have had a few brides use "Love Rollercoaster" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also:

    - Crazy Little Thing Called Love by CheapTrick

    - Walk This Way by Aerosmith

    - Viva La Vida by Coldplay

    - Just Like Heaven by The Cure

You can listen to them here:

My FH and I are entering with the song Highway to Hell by AC/DC .. We thought it'd be funny.

Some other ideas I had were

    It's a Beautiful Day - U2

    Thank You - Dido

Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses

    Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

Grow Old With You - Adam Sandler

    I haven't picked a song for the wedding party to walk in to but I was thinking that right as the DJ is announcing us when we are walking in it would be fun to play the chorus of the song "Let It Rock." The whole thing wouldn't be appropriate but the chorus is;

    "Because when I arrive,

    I-I bring the fire.

    Make you come alive,

    I can take you higher.

    What this is?

    Forgot?

    I must now remind you.

Let it rock, let it rock, let it rock."

It's really up beat and I feel like it would get people excited.

Simple plan did a version of happy together from the turtles. Its the first song in the newer freaky friday movie. Thats going to be our recessional since our reception is in the room connected to the wedding ceremony room. So not much reason for any announcements.

August Bride..you dont even know...my FH is a nut...I have to keep him contained LOL. For our entrance song he chose (finally) You Gotta Fight For Your Right to Party (Beastie Boys) and then Who Let Dogs Out for Wedding Party. But we are also doing that crazy surprise first dance where we start very slow and formal (thanks to lessons) and then get into the crazy part, dancing to I Know You Want Me by Pitbull. But I love yours too for your kids...too cute!
