Is anyone having difficulty getting the Gramercy Park Hotel to refund their deposit due to a cancelled wedding?

Oh, that's awful. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common theme for many canceled weddings, right now.
Some places are offering to reschedule, but usually contracts state that if you cancel, you forfeit the deposit, no matter the reason.
What does your contract say?

Hi Dominique! It will all depend upon what your original contract says, and if the venue was unable to hold up their end and host the wedding.
Seeing that you had a May wedding date in NY I'm assuming they were probably unable to host the wedding. Had they agreed to refund the money, and are just now being tricky to get in touch with?
