Grace loves lace

mandybeth, on February 15, 2016 at 4:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Any grace loves lace brides? I'm in love with their dresses but so worried about ordering without trying it on..

It's such a big purchase that I don't know if I can bring myself to do it.

Really bad idea... no way to tell at all how it will look on you and bridal dress sizes are so wonky. I had to order my dress in a size that I've never ever worn aside from my wedding gown. Some fit sooooo small, or they label totally differently.

Someone just made this exact post about this exact designer a few days ago...

    Thanks kris.

Km- I did a Google search trying to find posts on this and didn't see much, let alone one from a few days ago. I'll try to search again.

Do they let you return dresses?

When I was originally thinking of buying my dress from BHLDN but only loved dresses that were on sale, the woman I spoke to recommended buying a few that I liked and then returning the ones that didn't work.

Though not sure what costs you would incur from shipping to and from another country.

I think the general consensus was that their dresses are amazing, but because there's no option to return, unless you look like a model, it might not be worth it

Do they only sell dresses online? I agree that purchasing a dress online seems really scary. The sizes are super wonky. I normally wear a size 0/2 ish and my wedding dress is a size 8. If you can, I would go get fitted, so you know what size to order.

    Based on this:

It sounds like you would be able to give them all of your measurements, but then you have to hope it lines up nicely with one of their sizes so it doesn't need too many alterations.

    Thanks guys!

I don't think they do returns unless it's because of a mistake on their part..

They don't sell in stores anywhere so that's out of the question.

I love Bhldn also.. Maybe they would be a better bet. Although I've been looking at grace loves lace for so long now and I keep going back to it. They just have such a great style and it's a shame they don't sell in stores.

I'm so picky and haven't been able to find any other designers similar that I like.

I didn't like a lot of things when I tried them on, even though I thought I would have. I couldn't imagine getting my wedding dress without trying it on.
