The cake saga part 2
A few days ago I posted about my baker bailing me. She ended suggested another baker to me and in the initial call the cake was twice my original cake was. She suggested we come in to her cake supply/wedding supply shop and look at some pictures. I showed her the cake we had previously ordered and she agreed to make it as close as she could to the picture for the same price! The original baker had even contacted her after I did to tell her she has the flowers from the picture and will give them to us for free because she feels bad about the cancellation. Cake will be delivered to the venue on the wedding day and I don't have to pay extra for it.
The original baker explained more to me about what happened because she felt I deserved an explanation, and because I wasn't a crazy bridezilla when she cancelled. Her reasons are totally understandable, just not how she initially handled it. She did apologize and I believe she's done what she can to try and make it right.
Here is the pic of the original cake, and I hoping the new one is as close as possible, I did mention i'd prefer more purple blooms if there is enough. If not I love it.
