Goodie bags for kids

Allie, on June 7, 2019 at 10:56 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8

Hello! I recently attended my cousin's wedding and realized how important the guest experience is. The kids were soooo bored which put stress on their parents. I will only be having 4-10 kids attend my wedding. I'm not doing a kids table because they are too young and will want to sit with their parents. My mom is going to do coloring books for them and I want to do snacks for them since I know they won't like any of the food. Thoughts on how to package all this? I could just do gift bags but I wanted something a little more open like a basket maybe. So far I know there will be water bottles, coloring book, ruffles chips, popcorn (per the parents' request), and cookies.

I think a gift bag works better just because it seems more handy and convenient, if you get me. that's a really good idea you have though! i am also doing crayons and activity books for the kids

I would do some sort of bag so its easier for parents or the kids to carry.

I am using gift bags that I got from the dollar store. The kids won't really care what their goodies are in so I wasn't willing to spend a lot of money on that part. I got coloring books and crayons, bubbles, plastic tumblers, and a small activity for each (I will have 7 kids at mine).

I agree with PP, I would stick to bags so it is easier for the kids or their parents to carry. I also think baskets could get expensive. Stick some cute tissue paper in it and you could even do little tags on them with the kids names.

Little bags should do the trick! Love that you're doing this! We did coloring books and they were more of a hit than a kids' table would have been! Smiley smile And I LOVE the addition of kid friendly snacks!

Thanks! I'm definitely going to hit up the dollar store for their bags and put their names on them. Since there are so few, I'm texting their parents to get their input on their favorite snacks.

They make cardboard baskets. They're kinda square. I've seen them with cartoon characters on them for Easter and Halloween trick or treat bags. That might work. They have handles and everything. You might be able to find something like that but in a solid color.
The downside is the character ones usually are in the $10_$15 range.
