Good Photographers for less than $1000?

Vlad seems to have a lot of small lighting errors (lens flares, hard shadows, over-exposure) in his work and he doesn't seem to pay enough attention to keeping the background uncluttered. There are almost no ceremony pics so it makes me wonder how well he will do covering the ceremony especially if there is a challenging lighting situation.

All in all his work isn't bad, especially if you are not picky, but I would want to see a full ceremony in comparable lighting before I hired him.

I have seen new photographers show "company books" as their portfolio. In other words, it's not their work! They come from an album company. I've also seen new or inexperienced photographers take FOREVER to get shots. I've seen the whole wedding timetable thrown off by hours because the photographer takes way too long to get shots. Family members and the bride and groom stand around waiting for them to adjust their camera, find the perfect background, or take one shot after another because they aren't confident. If you want cold food, bored guests, and a DJ who only plays for 2 hours because your photographer took 2 hours to get your photos, then go with a newbie. It's not just how great the photos are, it's how long it takes to get the great photos! I understand your budget. I feel for you. But, we wedding professionals have all seen these new photographers and we feel bad for the brides!

@Double J Photography- You have a photography business but you are an amature? I don't get it. Either you are good enough to charge for your services or you are an amature.

Do your research and find the best that works for you. A better photographer is of course going to charge higher prices.
