Good Outdoor Spots for Engagement Photos in Wisconsin--ANYBODY?!?

Me and my fiance want to get our photos taken outside this October in an open field somewhere! We would consider it also for a wedding ceremony too but we can't seem to come up with ideas. Does anybody who lives in Wisconsin or has been to Wisconsin have any ideas?! Right now, something close to the Madison area but we are willing to travel if need be. I welcome anything at this point--more for engagement photos than anything else...

We had some of ours taken in a field outside of town. It was just randomly picked. There are a lot of fields in this state, and most farmers don't mind if you use them for a few pictures. There are also quite a few public parks that have large fields or grassy areas. What part of the state are you looking at? That would help pinpoint a place.

You know I never thought to ask a farmer--there is a next door neighbor that has horses! His parents live out in the country too. Hmmmm.....thanks!

I agree with Pan- ask a farmer...

I know there is a fee BUT Olbrich Gardens is where I would have my pictures done IF I lived in Madison, or one of those parks on the lake (I have been there but dont remember the names!).

I just googled prairies in Madison- have you ever heard of Prairie Ridge Conservatory Park? Heritage Sanctuary also looks beautiful, but more wooded... Here is a link to the Madison Conservation Parks Website-- cause there are many more Id look into!

Talk with your photographer. I wanted to take my photos that represented both my fh and myself and she was awesome at suggesting several places. He/She will know some great places.
