Gold or Silver Jewelry?

Okay, so my bridesmaids are wearing wine colored dresses. I asked them what color shoe most of them have on hand. They voted for nude shoes. Fabulous. Then they asked what tone for jewelry, gold or silver. I said I really didn't care, to wear whatever. But they really wanted me to pick. I'm just not...

Okay, so my bridesmaids are wearing wine colored dresses.

I asked them what color shoe most of them have on hand. They voted for nude shoes. Fabulous.

Then they asked what tone for jewelry, gold or silver. I said I really didn't care, to wear whatever. But they really wanted me to pick.

I'm just not someone who cares about my girls' accessories. I want them to be comfortable and be able to wear stuff they already have.

But I'm being pressured for some guidance. So here's the color of the dress. Would you say gold or silver?

    I love wine and gold together. My colors are wine/deep red (less purpleish in hue than yours I think) and navy, and I keep going back and forth on the red or the blue dresses.... I really like yours!

    I love that dress color! So flattering! I think gold would be beautiful, but it would probably depend some on the skin tone of your girls as well.

    Either one. But keep in mind warm tone people look good with gold and cool toned people look better in silver.

    I think maybe you should let them pick the metal and you dictate the style.

    I say gold... But what's the primary metallic at your wedding (if any?) that's what I'd go with.

    Haha Jo, that's what I originally said! But my MOH reached out and said all the girls want more guidance. And I didn't want to give guidance lol I just don't care! Haha I just want people to be comfortable and not have to spend any more money than the dress.

    I told them gold but with the disclaimer that I don't care and if they fall in love with a silver necklace, to go for it!

    I'm with @Jo.

    I think gold would look best, but I look TERRIBLE in yellow gold. I love rose gold (my ring is rose!) and I usually only wear silver. So it would depend on skin tone, too.

    So pick some styles from charming Charlie's (you know they come in multiple metals) and say pick one of these 4 in the metal of your choice.

    I don't want to force my girls to purchase anything though. A lot of them are wearing shoes and jewelry that they already have.

    And I think picking the style is worse than the metal. My girls are seriously across the board when it comes to style in jewelry. With my disclaimer, they were all fine with it. Really anything goes!
