Going about at reception in my ball gown?

Sherraine, on October 27, 2020 at 3:30 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Advice needed from Brides past an future,

my wedding dress is a ball gown and i adore it! after my first alterations appointment i realize it costs more then the budget i had for a 2nd dress. so i think to save money ill just still with my main dress.

Do you guys have any advice on how to maneuver during the reception like eating, dancing and going to the restroom?

if i have enough money then i may get a second dress but for now im sticking with my ball gown

I wore a ballgown for my wedding. I peed right before I put the dress on so I didn't need to use the bathroom. The dress was bustled after the ceremony so walking and dancing were very easy. I changed dresses for the after party and used the bathroom at that point.

I wore a ballgown. Peed right before I put it on, and I didn't have to pee again until after the wedding (too much going on, I guess). However, if you have to go when you have your dress on, straddle the toilet from the front and lift your dress that way. My dress was bustled (it had a fairly long train) and neither I nor anyone else stepped on it. As far as eating, as long as you can sit, you can eat.

I had mine bustled after the ceremony. Sitting was no problem either.
