Glow sticks exit

Emily, on October 6, 2017 at 2:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Thinking about having a grand exit with glow sticks. But need help deciding on colors how many colors or should I just use plain white? Weddings in 29 days can't decide on the details.

I like the glow sticks idea! But a variety of colors would be too hard to arrange I think (do you line people up in RYBIV order? haha), I'd stick with one color, whatever color you want. White could be cool.

I think white would be best. Less "ravy" more "weddingy"... yup, making up words now.

I'm doing the same thing and I'm just getting the big packs with a variety. Once I figure out the best place to get a bunch of long sticks for cheap.

I've never seen this so I looked at some pictures. For this to look good, you need a lot of sticks and a lot of people participating. As you can see in the pics, it doesn't look as good as you might think unless there's a lot of them and it needs to be super dark to have an impact. Might look best to stick to one or 2 colors IMHO. Not really a fan of it though.

We had a variety of colors (they're inexpensive on Amazon) and they looked awesome in the pictures - we did leave in the true dark (and the front of the venue was pretty much unlit except the glow sticks)

Look into LED glow batons. They're bigger and you can set them on flashing mode. I'm on the fence on if I want them or not. They fit our venue, but they're also wasteful. I saw wedding guests spill out on to Bourbon Street in New Orleans with the batons. Everyone seemed to enjoy using them.

They are so cute. I gave them to the kids in they're grab bags at my wedding.

We purchased these LED sticks: https://www.amazon.com/Multicolor-Weddings-Parties-Sticks-Lighting/dp/B01G6RSAN4/ref=pd_sim_21_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01G6RSAN4&pd_rd_r=EAM6XKPRYS4SCG447DBG&pd_rd_w=NqJw8&pd_rd_wg=YZLJ5&psc=1&refRID=EAM6XKPRYS4SCG447DBG. While I don't have a great picture on hand using them with our exit, it was lots of fun and many of guests with young children took them home for their kids to play with. At first I thought the LED foam glow stick was the ugliest thing ever when it arrived, but it ended up being really fun!

We did a glow stick exit at our wedding! My mom bought a huge variety pack on Amazon (I think it was like 500) and we danced the night away with them and everyone just waved them at us as we worked our way out of the venue. It worked really well and looks good in photos especially if your venue does not allow sparklers as ours did not.
